The pre-CBS days Fender Stratocaster was a thing of beauty indeed. A pure tone embraced by Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, Hank Marvin and Eric Clapton; a blank canvas onto which the guitarist can impression themselves. This one's mine.

Great shot! I am a silver halide, B&W man and I simply adore close ups as well!

But for your information, Jimi never played pre-CBS Strats! All his Strats had either the "Transition" logo (large and gold) on a standard or large headstock, or the large and black '68 one (think Woodstock ;-) ).
Moreover, Strats of that period had one "butterfly" string retainer and vintage (obviously haha!), slotted tuning pegs. :-P

Yours is a contemporary USA Strat.

Although a Strat (and Tele) lover, I simply do not like the three-colour sunburst... Oh well, I am weird anyway ;-)
